Ransomville Police Officer Killed After Ransom Kidnapping

Police Officer Shot and Killed Responding To a Kidnapping Involving His Son!

At 2:40 AM Officer Micheal Sethton of the Ransomville PD of 15 years, got a call from his dispatcher that a kidnapping involving a 1 year old at 1749 Swann Road was occuring. His police car tracker shows that he was last heard from by other officers at around 3:15 AM. The last transmission was captured by his patrol car dash cam microphone. "Unit 2501, Responding to the scene. Dispatch can I have the details...................Dispatch to Unit 2501.. We have some terrible news. What? The Kidnapper had just called us and he has.......Your Son. Oh My God. Send Swat. 10-4." That was the last thing he would ever say. When he arrived on scene there was blood splattered everywhere. By the time he got his grip on the whole situation he was shot in the chest 50 times. His dashcam captured a masked subject get into his patrol car and drive away. Luckily for the 1 year old he was in good health and the blood was fake to make Officer Sethton move in quickly.

His funeral will be held a Hardison Funeral Home in Lewiston NY.
