After 2 days of an investigation into district check fraud, with the superintendent and financial advisor as primary suspects the FBI cleared Derrylson of all charges and cleared him of being a suspect. He is back to work.

District financial manager Kelly Price has pleaded not guilty 2,300 counts of check fraud. The investigation is still on going a Price could face severe jail time if convicted. If she is convicted of the 2,300 district checks that were bounced, she could face up to 23 years in federal prison, and would have to pay the fines for bounced checks.
"If my client is found guilty, we will be attempting to appeal the charges and will be gathering further evidence that proves Prices' innocence. Information regarding the bill in which she will have to pay will not be discussed at this time. Federal laws states that after the case is concluded, the district must publicly publish the official bill that was billed to the district for all of the the bounced checks, and information that can prove she was the one that was signing the checks."
One of the district's spokespersons Donald Rhein said in a statement to News By Jessy crews

"The district will press charges against the person attempting to solicit fraudulent checks and use this district's name to produce and distribute the checks. We aim to ask the courts for reimbursement for the personal attorney fees, and the district representative fees."

As the investigation continues updates will be made. Please see our NEW investigation Status Tracker site!
