District Pipes Burst, Cancelling School for All Students on Monday October 16,2017
Early on Monday morning on October 16,2017, Niagara County CSD Superintendent Jessy J. Bunnell was alerted that flooding had occurred on district grounds. The District decided to close school to test all the water and sewage systems. The District Superintendent made a statement to the newsbyjessy crews. "I was actually getting ready to head to work, when I received a call from the district board of education co-advisor. District offices called me up and reported flooding. I said to check the back-flow switch.........We then realized that our pipes had cracked, and we called up the Niagara County Families, telling them the situation. We had Cancelled school."
He also said that testing and monitoring of the weakened pipe will continue, at least until next week.
